Our history

Formerly known as The Stephen James Group, we were established in 1973 as a Used Car Dealer and in 1985 became an authorised BMW and MINI automotive retailer principally based in Enfield, North London. In 2006 the group grew with the acquisition of 3 dealerships in and around Kent.

2023 saw us acquired by Hedin Mobility Group, and in 2025 we rebranded to Hedin Automotive.

We operate five BMW and three MINI Centres located in Enfield, Woolwich, Bromley, Sidcup and a city retail outlet in Blackheath.

We pride ourselves in offering our customers the highest level of expertise, knowledge and friendly service whether you are interested in the purchase of a new or used car or require a service or mechanical repair to your vehicle.
